Peanut Butter Jelly Oatmeal

2.23.09 045

I think Bill eats a PB & J every day of the week. I know this because the peanut butter jar is constantly almost out, and we almost never have bread. I also saw him eat one the other day.

Seeing him eat all these PB&Js made me crave them all the more. So I decided to make on in oat form.

The granola was half of this free sample that I received in the mail quite some time ago.

This bowl of oatmeal was perfect. In the oats I used a banana, one teaspoon of jelly, and one teaspoon of peanut butter (along with cinnamon and vanilla). The combination and the consistency were just what I wanted this morning.

Did you all watch the Oscars last night? I did - in between reading chapters of books. When Bill got home, he sat down to watch it with me and decided to take some black and white photos. Check out our dining room (It looks much better than in real life).

And then Scone was sitting on his lap, and I decided to give the ole camera a try. Welcome to my everyday.

So I have two questions for you to mull over this morning:

1) What was your opinion of the Oscars?

2) What is your favorite go-to sandwich? (Is it PB & J too?)

Let's get through Monday!

  1. Peanuuuuuut, peanut butter (and jelly).

Sorry, but I used to love that song when I was little, haha :-D

1.) I was touched by the speech given by Heath Ledger's family, when they accepted the Oscar in his honor; and I thought that Jackman was a sensational host.

    Good luck with your Monday!!

  2. I was so happy Slumdog Millionaire won! It truly is a good movie not bogged down by special effects and big name movie stars. Hmm...my go to sandwich is turkey, cheese, avocado, and honey mustard. Then PB with banana and honey.

  3. Lovely bowl.
I didn't watch the Oscars, though I would have liked to.
Favorite all time sammich would be PB, banana, and honey. I was freaked out by jelly as a child (weirdo)
Now I'd say avocado, sprouts, and cheese.

  6. 1. The Oscars are too long for my tiny attention span. I messed around on the computer, and Brian called me in the room every time a big award came on.

    2. pb & j (NO STRAWBERRY JELLY) all the way!

Good luck with the interview today!

  16. Meat eating = turkey, with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers and sprouts. Maybe a little apple and BBQ sauce in there.

    Non-meat = same + hummus.
